Many ancient spells used the ARCANE HERBAL code so the uninitiated would not understand the secret spell ingredients being used and duplicate the magick. I use this same code in many of my own magic witchcraft herbal apothecary spells, to keep the ingredients and methods of my spell crafting secret.

Toe of Frog = BUTTERCUP
Wool of Bat = HOLLY LEAVES
Tongue of dog = GYPSY FLOWER
Eye of newt = MUSTARD SEED
