The Goddess Brigit was originally thought to be a Sun Goddess born at sunrise. It is said that a tower of flame burst forth from Her forehead from Earth to Heaven when she was born. It was likely She who inspired the line in the famous Song of Amergin: "I am a fire in the head." Brigit was one of the great Triple Goddesses of the Celtic people.
