What Is the Nine Herbs Charm?
The Nine Herbs Charm is one of the oldest known Anglo-Saxon spells, historically invoked to combat poison, fight infection, and draw on the green magic of the earth itself. Rooted in Germanic mythology, this ancient witchcraft ritual is also known by its Old English name, Nigo Wertha Galdor — the nine-herb galdor, or charm. What lived in the Lacnunga manuscript over a thousand years ago still holds its power today, waiting quietly for the hands that will use it.
