The GODDESS and the HARE is an old story that has been told and re-told. This fable is one of many explanations as to why the Hare is sacred to the Pagan Sabbat Ostara and to the Goddess of Spring. The symbols of springtime and Ostara are usually bunnies, lambs, eggs, chicks, daffodils and primroses. They all represent new life, new cycles, life blooming under the sunshine! The Hare is bold and colourful and he reminds us to celebrate the new season of light.
